Artifact: Track and Field Results from 800 meter run at Cortland Classic Invitational
Element: 2.2 Achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of fitness throughout the program.
Date: 22 April 2011/ Spring 2011
Reflection:
The Cortland Classic Invitational this past spring was an eye-opening experience for me when it comes to fitness. Running in the 800 meter run for the first time ever at this meet showed me what my level of cardiovascular endurance was. I plan on using this experience of developing cardiovascular endurance in the future through a track & field unit. In this track & field unit I would have kids run some distance races seen in the sport just to develop a small level of cardiovascular endurance in every student. With this experience I can take vast knowledge of fitness well into the future.
